Qubic: The Jig is Never Up - EP
Here's a mashup with a couple of mixes, including an instrumental mashup version, that I recently jigged up.
The first original version has a pop-folk flavor to it and became part of a compilation album for Audio Porn Central, while the second mix has more of a rock-folk flavor and is only available as part of this EP release.
As a special treat (from my usual offerings), the zip file download features 320 kbps MP3 files and a special instrumental bonus track.

Rae Stickly - (Something's) Never Up
02 - The Jig is Never Up (Drunken Sailor Mix)

Qubic: The Angel Divine - exclusive Ramdom Thoughts release
DJ Useo from the Global DJ Network (of which I am an active member), approached me about providing a new mashup that would be released exclusively on the Ramdom Thoughts podcast, episode #111 on July 5, 2008. He was kindly producing a guest show for the podcast because dateable Scotty has been busy with his studies lately.
DJ Useo had given me fairly short notice, and I was currently in the middle of working on my opus. So instead of scrambling to produce a new mashup in a really short time, I thought I'd extract an excerpt from my opus, turn it into a single, and have that released exclusively on the Ramdom Thoughts podcast, as well as give the rest of you a little teaser of what to expect in my upcoming opus.
As a time limited offer, the individual tracks from the Ramdom Thoughts episode #111 podcast are available for download. This will be the only place that you can download The Angel Divine - single. Otherwise, it will only be available as part of the whole opus project (when it's done -- hopefully soon).
The Angel Divine
Massive Attack - Angel
Yello - The Rhythm Divine
Art of Noise - The Vacuum Divine
Art of Noise - excerpt from "And What Have You Done With My Body, God?"
5:57
Available only at Ramdom Thoughts #111 - mashups & remixes

DJ Earworm : What's My Name
Instead of posting one of my own creations on this blog, I've decided to pay a little respect to another producer whose work I've enjoyed as as a listener, and whose work has influenced me as a producer.
I've been collecting other producer's mashups for a few years now, long before I started producing my own mashups. DJ Earworm is one producer that has left a lasting impression on me from day one with his unique style, lyrical interplay, and excellent quality productions.
Although I'm still trying to figure out my own mashup style, his work has definitely influenced my own mashup productions. When putting a mashup together with two or more songs with lyrics, I try to create some lyrical interplay that creates a different meaning than the original sources, or plays on the concept of the merged titles and songs. After you listen to his work and then give my work a listen, you might hear some of the lyrical interplay influences of DJ Earworm in my productions.
I've selected to showcase What's My Name by DJ Earworm because it's a prime example of how he's able to take several sources (22 songs to be exact) and masterfully put them together in a playful seamless banter that begs to answer the question... what's my name.
Visit DJ Earworm's site to enjoy this masterful piece.
